So now everyone's exams is over... (almost!) And if you are wandering why I kept on saying I'm having a break /or holiday... This is because, my block (month) is a design elective block. And I was not given my choice photography. As the school says, they give priority to the yr 2s and 3s so... many of us freshies are left with nothing but a free block. So holidays then till end of this month!
Ya... and there is people bugging me to blog... Hm. Relax lah, people got life leh. Hhahah... Kidding only, thats ok if your pushing me to do it!
THANKSGIVINGI really want to thank God for my good gpa results. I didn't expect to get that score. God is great! To those taking exams, remember, the Lord wants to bless you with success! :)
CROCS Anyway, I have just finished and submitted my shoe design for a Crocs shoe compeition last wed! Though Crocs is like an uninspiring and ugly shoe with its holes (many will agree with it)... To those who saw the design on my hp or paper, I have kind of changed the design a bit to suit the overall theme. BUT it's still the butterfly thingy... I will try and upload a pic of the shoe... I'm not sure if there is copyright issues about showing on the net. Anyway, the file is too big to put it up. So maybe I'll show it to you guys some other time?
So I'm not sure if I'll get into the top 10 where I'll have to redraw the shoe (a pair). So I'll just wait!! I'm amazed some people are still getting the application like on wed to do the compeition which ends this Friday! Strange...
TRAGEDY & PARODYLast Friday (6/10), went with Gideon and Jen to see Kenneth perform his Lit play. AND my perception of RI boys changed. They were like normal guys who were totally playful! During the interval, they would play with the baby powder by pouring a lot on a particular boy who is oblivious to the prank! It was really a comical sight when one gets "angry" and starts a chase.
And the "truth" came out in the play, Kenneth acted as Doctor Faustina from the parody of Doctor Faustus. It was really funny how the guys can play female roles! And in another play, one of the guys really looked like a girl when he put on a wig and dress! One group were quite naughty in the sense when one of the guys ask the "girl" to do "position 63". My GOODNESS, suddenly you can hoots in the crowd.
Overall, it was a different side to how lit plays are acted. Most of us in sec sch would just act straight from the book. Really enjoyed it and laughed a lot!
GBAnd I went back to sec sch yesterday to represent my dad in a career talk that he couldn't attend with my mum. And after all the talk, I decided to try and find the girls if there was gb. (since i saw my captain's car) BUT no... I went to the church to find and there was nobody. So dejected, I left. But just as I was leaving the sch, a bus came in with a group of them! AH... so they went for excursion.
So it was really great to see them again and find out how's life there. And I'm still stuggling to decide if I can go for annual camp. Since this yr would be an adventure camp! I would have to report late if I want to go since I have school still during Nov.
WHAT 6 YEARS!?!And I just found out that to take up architecture in NUS is a 6yr course from my gb officer! Oh my goodness, and I thought i was so happy to hear when my CM (course manager) said we are granted to sut off a yr if we study that! I was dreaming that it will finish in 4 yrs! Blah... but still i'm not sure if architecture or interior design is my route for a degree...
LECTUREAnd I can't wait to go for a talk by famous architect Frank Gehry on Mon! Well... since i paid for it. and a friend told me that NUS cultural hall is one of the nicest place to have it at. Hmm... we shall see about that on Mon. :)
