Camp Ignite DAY 1

DAY 1:(Pls. be mindful that this is only a summary of the camp. Not all details are added in.) (Why did I not blog about it earlier? I had to compile my thoughts about the three days!)Joke of the day 1:
As I was walking into the school, I heard my group singing our "
Basil theme song". Which was actually the national anthem of Brazil. (E.g. Basil lalalalalala…) Though it was a comical act, it was easier to find them in the huge crowd.
After admin things was done, we left for the auditorium to listen to a talk by "Eric the Man", as called by the director. As the Audi had not opened, we waited outside and played Chop Chili Chop and the hand switching game.
Joke of the day 2:
The most exciting part was the forfeit round! One of our GLs (confidential) had to do a pole dance. However as there was no pole, that GL had to do it with a person acting as one! So one of Basilians (confidential) bravely volunteered to be the pole. Boy, could you imagine the act and us laughing so loudly!
During the talk, we were all overjoyed when Eric said that with the new school system, we would
not have school on Mondays!
After lunch, we went to the sport hall for mass dance. Thank goodness some of us did not pair up with guys! The dance was long and tiring.
(I wondered who did it with the cute guys!) ;) Hahaha…
Then we were given a bit of time to think about our T-shirt design that we had to do as a sub-empire. Unanimously, Basil chose Shaun to do it.
(Well… everyone thought he was able to woo the judges with his looks!)
Then we had games. (It was to help us familiarize ourselves to the campus) Our first game was difficult. Instructions: 1) Bite off a piece of the apple that is floating in the pail.
2) Turn five rounds at X- spot.
3) Go to flour filled tray and take out a balloon and 5 M&Ms. Then blow the balloon.
Bad game because, 1) I could not get a bite on the apple. (Failed)
2) Could not blow the balloon; and poor Jojo had to blow for us! (Sorry Jojo!)
3) There was flour on everyone’s faces. (So unglam!)
Then we had a few more games. (I won’t continue to do a grandma story and bore your off!)
Scary Movie 3:
At about 2330, we were gathered in LT25. There, the juniors and graduates scared us with scary incidents happening in the school. (You name it, all kind of scary stories you can think off…) Then our "mission" was to find clues to piece together a rumor that happened in the school.
During the so called "night walk", most of the school lights were off, we saw people dressed in black; some holding lanterns and fake blood on the floor too. Our task was to find clues (items) and then asked the black figures questions about the rumor.
After the whole thing ended at 0130, we were told that the scary stories were all fake. Though some people thought that it seemed true to have happened. (Freaky!)
After debrief, we could at last bathe. Boy was the queue long! Some of us Basil gals had to queue for 2hrs before we got the chance to bathe. And by the time we finished, it was already 0400! Well, I’m off to my slumber land and recharge for another days of activities!
